WALLABIES squad member Daniel Heenan may be ruled out of contention for the Bledisloe Cup rugby clash with New Zealand after injuring his knee.
Heenan hasn't played for the Wallabies since his Test debut against Wales in June and returned to Brisbane at the weekend to get some game time, while the Australian side played South Africa.
He injured his knee playing for GPS against Norths-QUT in Premier Rugby yesterday. He will have a MRI scan on his left knee today.
``I've seen the Reds doctor and while he's hopeful that it's not as bad as I first feared, it's going to be a struggle," Heenan said.
``I've spoken to the Wallaby management and at the moment I can best be described as doubtful for the Bledisloe.
``It's pretty sore but hopefully all will go well tomorrow and I'm playing again very soon.
The Wallabies will go into camp on Friday, before travelling to Auckland the following Thursday for the August 16 match. Heenan, 21, has suffered serious back injuries which have stalled his career.
